Blog Makeover Raffle for New Day Foster Home's Formula Project
Monday, May 11, 2009I am holding a raffle for New Day Foster Home's formula project. The winner will receive a free blog makeover, valued at $105!
Due to limited resources, many government orphanages in China can’t afford to purchase formula powder. Instead, babies are given substitutes like sugar water or rice powder to ease their hunger pains. These substitutes do not provide the nutrition a child needs, and the result is malnourishment, sickness, and underdevelopment.
But this doesn't have to be their reality! We can help ensure these babies aren't hungry.
New Day Foster Home provides formula to children under one who live in four different Chinese government orphanages, ensuring that these babies get the healthy start they need. In early 2009, enrollment in the formula project rapidly increased and over the last year, quality formula has grown more expensive in China. Believing that every child deserves a full tummy, NDFH hasn’t turned away any babies from the project. But, they need our help to purchase the formula.
On their website, you can learn more about New Day Foster Home’s formula project, and you can even sign up to sponsor formula for one child for one year.
You can also follow the New Day Foster Home blog.
To help the formula project, I will raffle off a deluxe blog makeover ($105 value).
Raffle tickets are being sold for the following prices.
1 ticket - $5
3 tickets - $10
7 tickets - $20
10 raffle tickets - Sign up to sponsor formula for a child for one year (the sponsorship is $25 per month).Do not use the chipin to become a sponsor. You can register here.
To enter the raffle, please make a donation using the Chipin to the right of this post. Once you have purchased your tickets, leave a comment with your name, blog address, and the number of tickets that you purchased. If you want to include your email in the comment as well you are welcome to do so.
You have until Monday, the 18th to enter.
Please post about this, twitter about this, and do whatever you need to do to get the word out. I know times are tough, so if you cannot afford a ticket, take a moment to spread the word. It is my goal to raise as much money as possible for this amazing project!
Thanks everyone, and good luck!
Danielle
Please note that the winner is responsible for purchasing any files needed for their makeover. These files usually range around $5-$7.

ReplyDeleteOr to summarize, even the full pilot shows little signs of meaningful serialization, aside from the hope that Emerson would choose a quality project.
