Updates & Favorite Christmas Songs!

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

My friend Jill's grandfather passed away this afternoon. She wrote a beautiful post about him on her blog. I want to thank those of you that prayed for her family & left comments on her blog. I know those thoughts and prayers mean so much to them. Jill is a very dear friend, so it means a lot to me, too. Thank you.

I have a few more giveaways coming, but have been very busy and have not had time to prepare. I am not a traveler by any means, so being out of town for 17 days in a one month period has been a lot to handle. At this point, I am just doing my best to catch up and get back in to the swing of things. If you are working with me on your blog, I appreciate your patience. Everyone has been so sweet. I work with the best people!

I was also a little delayed today. I spent the entire day in a lot of pain, convinced that I had a terrible eye infection or something worse. I woke up and felt like someone punched me in the face. Turns out there was an eyelash in there {under my eyelid}. Has this happened to anyone else?

I added some new {photo} wallpapers for my freebie page. I am using the pink ornament right now.

Both tree photos are actually of Jill's tree.

I am a little obsessed with Christmas music. I have two playlists in iTunes {Christmas Music & Classic Christmas Music}. I only have 113 songs in total, which doesn't seem too extreme to me. Anyway, I wanted to share the songs I have been enjoying the most this year. It should be noted that I especially love all the classics {Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Mathis etc...}.

I cannot get enough of the following songs -

God Rest Ye Merry Gentelmen & O Holy Night by MercyMe
I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day by Casting Crowns
Winter Song by Sara Bareilles
Winter Wonderland & All Alone on Christmas by Darlene Love
Sleigh Ride by the Ronettes

So tell me. What are your favorites?

  2. I am so sorry for your friends loss. I was praying for a better outcome here on earth, but I guess being home with the Savior is the best outcome he could ask for. I pray that God's peace and comfort washes over Jill and her family during this time of loss.
