Let's have some fun! Fab Friday has returned.

I thought it would be fun to bring back Fab Friday, and start with my favorite healthy snacks. But before I do, I am thinking of renaming Fab Friday with Friday Faves or Friday Favesies. What do you think?

Anyway! With summer around the corner, I know that lots of us are scrambling to tone up a bit {or more than a bit!} so I thought it would be fun to share our favorite healthy snacks with one another.

To participate, just post your favorite healthy {summer} snacks on your blog, and link to your blog post at the bottom of this blog or just leave a comment!

Let me start with the fact that I am sort of a health nut. I tend to avoid any processed foods, high fructose corn syrup, and anything that is high in sugar. That doesn't mean I never have these things. I just tend to avoid them day to day. So, I am all about the healthy snacks. And once it starts to warm up, I love {cold} healthy snacks!

One of my favorite things to have are frozen grapes. Love, love, love them.

Kashi bars are another favorite. These are not a summer snack, but are perfect for when you're on the go. Most bars are processed & high in sugar. Kashi bars are natural and delicious. The peanut butter and honey almond flax are my favorites.

I also love celery or whole grain toast with almond butter. Natural almond butter, of course. And there is nothing like a crisp apple, or any other piece of fruit. I love fruit & veggies.

I love ice pops. I used to love having all those delicious sugar free ones, but they really aren't healthy {because they are full of chemicals}. I have an inexpensive ice pop mold that I fill with juice, and sometimes, even soda. Hansen's {all natural} root beer ice pops are awesome! Such a delicious treat!

I have been pining over whether or not to purchase the Zoku Quick Pop maker from my favorite store, Williams Sonoma. It is quite possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen. Zoku even has a website with recipes! Love it.

So tell me. What are your favorite healthy summer snacks? Happy {fab} Friday!

And next week's topic will be...Fab Chick Flicks!!! Get ready with your top 5 chick flicks that you think everyone MUST watch! I cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with!

  1. Cold strawberries and sliced kiwi dusted in sugar are my fave summer snacks. I could munch on it all day long. It's much healthier alternative to potato chips and cookies.

  9. I have looked at that machine several times too! I was thinking how much healthier the popsicles made with it would be for my daughter. While we have to wait longer, we do like to make our own frozen old school style in paper cups with sticks or toothpicks in them. Frozen grapes are also a big hit, my daughter likes them in her water as ice cubes when it gets cold out. Then she eats them when she's done drinking. We also eat A LOT of strawberries and watermelon.

  10. i know it's old school, but it's hard to beat ants on a log. celery sticks stuffed with peanut butter, cream cheese, or cottage cheese with a few raisins on top. you get the crunchy + creamy AND the salty + sweet. SO good.

  23. I know this is late, and I'm super busy (and sick...) and haven't gotten around to blogging, but I was gonna share: True North's Almond Clusters. They're sweetened with organic rice syrup - and they taste wonderful! It's a great source of fiber/protein, but also has a few calories as well.
