Update - the sale has ended. Thanks to all that placed an order!

In honor of reaching 70,000 hits this week, I have decided to hold a sale through Sunday. The basic blog makeover {which includes a header and coordinating wallpaper} is normally priced at $70, while the standard {which also includes a custom post divider & signature} is normally priced at $90.

This week only, I will take $20 off of the deposit price for both the basic & standard packages!

If you are interested in receiving this sale price, please email me at thedesigngirl@gmail.com and I will tell you how to receive this special discount.

And to everyone that has shown interest in my new stationery line, thank you! I am in the process of pricing {and creating} this line. I have a lot of new designs I want to come up with, along with invites, announcements, and much much more. Stay tuned!

Danielle

I am so excited to announce that I am now working on stationery and business/mommy cards! I have been working on my stationery line, so if you would like to see a little bit of what I have so far, just click here.

I am going to sell these images which can be printed by an online printer and shipped to you, or if you have a local printer that you like, I can email the image directly to them. I am so excited, because this is a really easy and affordable way to sell stationery. The best part is, you can order as little or as many as you want!

If anyone has any events coming up, I need to make some invites as samples for my site, so please contact me.

I am also offering business and mommy cards, so be sure to check back for those, too!

As always, I would definitely appreciate any feedback, so let me know what you think. :)

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!

I am in the middle of organizing the entire site, and hope to have it all sorted out in the next week.

I haven't decided if I should carry this look over to the blog makeover portion, or if I should go with a new {coordinating} scrapbook look. Any thoughts on that?

And the big question... what do you think of the new look?

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! I want to thank everyone that took the time to enter this giveaway. Please continue to check back, because I have decided that I'll be doing these more often.

If you entered this giveaway and would like to place an order for a blog makeover, I would like to offer you $10 off the deposit price. All you need to do is email me and make your deposit by this coming Friday, and I'll add you to the wait list.

I am currently in beautiful Santa Barbara visiting one of my dearest friends and this "little" guy. I am really excited because I'll have him all to myself for a few hours in the morning tomorrow. Logan and Aunt Danielle are going to have some fun! :)

Because it's Easter, and because I'm in such a good mood, I decided to choose two winners at random!

Drum roll, please...

Winner #1 is Jules at Chic and Pink! Congratulations, Jules!

Winner #2 is Mrs. Sitcom at My Life is a Sitcom! Congratulations, Mrs. Sitcom!

Winners, please email me at thedesigngirl {at} gmail {dot} com to proceed with your free basic blog makeovers!

If you have already become a follower here you are now ready to enter to win a FREE basic blog makeover! (a $70 value!)

Here is how you enter.

You may leave one comment every day, through Saturday, April 11th. To leave your first comment, you must first become a follower here.

If you would like a way to leave a few extra comments to increase your chances of winning, here is what you should do. Please note that I will be using a random number generator, so you want to leave separate comments for each of the following to increase your chances of winning.

1. If you become a follower of this blog, you may leave one extra comment for this giveaway. Please note in your comment that you have become a follower.

2. If you add my giveaway button to your blog (on the left) you may leave another comment for this giveaway. Please note in your comment that you have added my button to your blog.

3. If you write a post about this giveaway, you may leave an additional comment for this giveaway. Please note in your comment that you have posted about this giveaway, and where you have posted.

Doing the above allows you to leave just one extra comment for this giveaway, but not one comment per day. Even if you are a follower & if you post about this giveaway, you may still leave just one additional comment per day.

Good luck and Happy Easter!

**Please note that the winner is responsible for purchasing files needed for his or her blog makeover. These files are typically around $5-$7. **

**A few people have had questions about how to enter. Here is a sample entry:

Now this person will absolutely be entered BUT that's just one entry. What this person could do to increase their chances is leave one comment for being a follower, another for adding my button, and another for blogging about it (with the blog address). I hope that helps clear things up! Then, you are able to leave one extra comment per day.

I decided to keep the same look, but update the blog. What do you all think of the new design?

I really want to redesign this site again. If you haven't noticed, I like to mix it up. What do you all think? Is it time for a new look?

I am planning on keeping the girl, dog, and cat, but would like to change that up a bit as well. Expect to see something new in the next month. Once I decide to make a change, there is no stopping me!

I am going to do my best to post more blogger tips and tricks on this page as they are requested. If there is anything you would like to learn more about, please let me know and I'll do my best to help. The internet is your best resource for learning new tricks, and since I am not an expert by any means, I recommend searching there. But, I will post what I know, and hopefully will be able to help a few people out.

Backdating or scheduling future posts is actually quite simple.

Let's say you want to set a post to post in 2 days, or to post 2 months ago. You just click on "post options" (orange text just above the "publish post" button). This box will open below post options.

To the right in the new box, you will see the text "Post date and time". Just set the date and time to the date you want the post to publish, and click "Publish Post".

Pretty easy :)

Back in September of 2008, I realized that I wanted to change the name of Blogs by Danielle. I had been hoping to branch out, and realized that name was rather limiting. Someone whose blog I designed actually suggested Design Girl, and I loved it. Unfortunately, it was taken, so I became The Design girl :)

So, 5 months after I purchased thedesigngirlstudio.com and started thedesigngirlstudio.blogspot.com, I finally got my act together and got this site up and running. I would love to hear what you all think, so please leave any comments or suggestions here. Feedback is always appreciated.

I hope you all like the new look.

Congratulations, Katie! Please email me to claim your free blog makeover. I look forward to working with you!

I would like to do something to thank those of you that entered this giveaway. If you entered and would like a blog makeover, I will take $10 off the regular price. If you entered this giveaway and posted about this contest on your blog, I will take $15 off the regular price.

Please email me by Wednesday, February 4th to take advantage of this offer.
